PT Pertamina (Persero) Perkapalan - Pertamina Shipping is one of the business unit of PT Pertamina (Persero) engaged in shipping business. The Company operated under Marketing & Trading Directorate of PT Pertamina (Persero) and was established in 1959. The Company formed as Shipping Division and starting with 2 shallow draft oil tanker. Pertamina Shipping based in Jakarta and its head office located in Tanjung Priok Port. Based on PT Pertamina (Persero) Annual Report 2011, Pertamina Shipping recorded 81.93 million KL or equivalent to 64.11 million long tons (LT) as a cargo transportation volume in 2011, increasied approximately by 4.5% compared to 78.41 million KL, or equivalent to 61.30 LT in 2010. To supports its cargo transport activities, Pertamina Shipping operated 173 units of ship, consisting 41 self owned ships and 132 chartered ships.
