Job Description:               Senior Technology Analyst (Infrastructure)


We come up against head-scratching technical issues all the time and you get to figure them out with the support of our team members and partners. This position is hands-on (as well as remote/phone/email) network support in business environments. You must have strong written documentation skills to be considered for the job.
You will be involved in everything from creating brand-new networks to desktop support, to some server support, to project management for each of our clients.

2+ years hands -on experience in systems administration, troubleshooting and deployment; managing multiple Windows 2003 and 2008 servers in diverse environments· Extensive experience building maintaining and troubleshooting the workstation side of MS Exchange and Active Directory environments, Terminal Services and related tools. Some experience on the server side.

1.       Security skills would be great, preferably the ability to program Routers/firewalls/VPN etc.
2.       Experience with Anti-Spam products, especially the hosted versions.
3.       Understanding of IP networks and IP addressing
4.       Knowledge of POP, SMTP, DNS (and DDNS), DHCP, VLANs and routing
5.       Storage System skills (SCSI, RAID, SATA, with SAN a plus).
6.       Network Management (switches, hubs, fiber-optic, packet sniffing)
7.       Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
8.       Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
9.       Contribute to and maintain system standards.
10.   Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.  Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

1. Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science
2. Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Unix and Microsoft.
3. Networks Certification in Cisco or Juniper.
4. Two to three year's system administration experience.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1.       Be knowledgeable regarding WAN router configurations
2.       Design and manage system-level Wide Area Network and LANs
3.       Understand and have expertise in TCP/IP
4.       Design and manage network hardware
5.       Design and manage Active Directory
6.       Configure and manage servers
7.       Set up group policies and network security
8.       Configure Windows Operating Systems platform on network.
9.       Knowledge of Linux Platform is a plus
10.   Knowledge of Opensource VoIP solutions is highly desirable.
11.   Build, maintain, and provide security on routers and firewall
12.   Configure and maintain Messaging server(MS Exchange Server, Sendmail etc)
13.   Configure and maintain Proxy Servers
14.   Maintain system's web/Application Servers
15.   Configure and maintain Enterprise Anti-Virus program
16.   Oversee and maintain content filtering program
17.   Provide technical advice as required for system planning
18.   Install and maintain network cabling
19.   Perform other related duties as assigned
